Kelly Stafford doubles down on booing feud with new video

Kelly Stafford posted a video on Instagram Thursday night showing her and her daughters walking to the sideline at Ford Field last Sunday to boos.

Stafford, the wife of Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, blamed fans who booed her children before Detroit's 24-23 win in the wild-card round earlier in the week.

She said on her Instagram Story that some people were questioning her “honesty” over the claims and that she used the video to defend herself.

“I didn't know if I should post this video because I really don't want to say what happened. This was our experience on the ground.” Stafford said in the video.. “I know you're booing me, but no matter how much I try to explain it, my kids don't know the difference.

“It's hard to accept the whole scenario, but not so hard that it challenges my integrity. It happened. Let's accept it and move on.”

The video shows Stafford walking onto the field with his daughters and holding hands with at least one of them, prompting some fans to boo.

Stafford said “thank you” to the crowd and the video stopped.

Sunday marked the Stafford family's first game back in Detroit since a blockbuster game in 2021 that sent Mathews to the Rams for Lions quarterback Jared Goff and a pick.

Kelly revealed that her children were being booed on her Instagram Story, responding to a follower who said “it's them” to booing Detroit fans.

“It's a sport. The city wants to win. All's a fair game…except for the fans who booed my kids,” Kelly wrote. “Other than that, I really liked the atmosphere. The boos fueled her husband even more.”

Kelly later told the Morning After podcast that the boos made her 5-year-old daughter, Hunter, cry. The couple also have three-year-old son Tyler and six-year-old twins Sawyer and Chandler.

“Neither my daughters nor I play the game,” Kelly said. “My daughters haven't been booed, I've been booed, and I can live with it, but when my daughters are next to me, it's like, maybe not. need to be said.

“Hunter burst into tears. “Guys, they're not booing you, they're booing mommy… They want the Lions to win.''

“Sawyer looked at me and said, 'Well, we don't play that sport,' and I said, 'That's really Sawyer, but Mom's involved in a lot of things here. That's what they're booing.''

Thursday's post appeared to be Kelly's response to people questioning the validity of her claims that her daughters were being booed.
