Kelly Stafford shares that cannabis gummies help her be 'a better parent'

Kelly Stafford Talks Parenting and THC Gummies

In a recent podcast episode, Kelly Stafford, wife of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, opened up about her parenting journey. She revealed that she “occasionally” enjoys taking THC gummies. This candid admission caught some attention, as she shared that these gummies help her relax. “Gummy is amazing,” she said, noting that they sometimes make her feel like a better parent. “It’s almost like a glass of wine,” she added.

Kelly, who is a mother to four daughters under eight, expressed a bit of guilt about her choice. “I don’t do it every night, but there are days when I think, ‘It’s been a long day. I don’t want to lose my cool, so a little help would be nice,'” she shared. Fortunately, Matthew supports her approach. He often reassures her, saying, “As long as they’re fed, happy, and loved, does it really matter how they get there?”

On a broader note, a recent study from UC San Francisco suggested that consuming edible cannabis, such as gummies, presents similar cardiovascular risks as smoking marijuana. This finding points to concerns about vascular function associated with both methods of consumption.

This offseason brought some uncertainty for the Stafford family as trade speculations circulated and contract negotiations unfolded. However, by March, they reached a restructured deal, and Kelly expressed gratitude that Matthew can play for the coach he admires and finish his career with the team they both love. Under this new arrangement, Matthew is expected to earn up to $84 million over the next two years, a significant increase from his previous contract of $58 million.
