Support for Ken Paxton from Texas Republican Delegation

Texas Attorney General and Senate candidate Ken Paxton has received backing from 18 members of Texas’ Republican Congressional delegation in his race against Democrat James Talarico.

The supporting representatives include Craig Goldman, Monica de la Cruz, Nathaniel Moran, Pat Fallon, Lance Gooden, August Pflueger, Randy Webber, Jody Arrington, Troy Nehls, Beth Van Duyne, Roger Williams, John Carter, Brandon Gill, Brian Babin, Michael Cloud, Pete Sessions, Wesley Hunt, and Ronnie Jackson.

Paxton expressed his gratitude, stating, “I am honored to have the support of these outstanding legislators and look forward to fighting alongside them to deliver results for Texans. We’re united because we know what’s at stake in this election. Talarico is the most well-funded Democrat in the nation, representing some of the most radical policies Texas has ever seen. Together, we will ensure Texas continues to lead the nation in protecting faith, families, and economic prosperity.”

Rep. Beth Van Duyne commented on Paxton’s efforts, saying, “As Attorney General, especially during the Biden administration, Ken Paxton fought relentlessly against leftist and socialist policies that sought to weaken our country. The Lone Star State’s battle is not just about Republicans versus Democrats; it’s about common sense and standing against forces that threaten our freedoms.”

Congressman Nathaniel Moran emphasized his commitment to secure borders, reduce taxes, and defend Second Amendment rights, among other priorities. He stated, “Ken Paxton is the only one who supports the goal of expanding space and freedom. For these reasons, I support Ken Paxton for U.S. Senate.”

Another supporter, Congressman Jody Arrington, remarked, “No attorney general in this country has fought as tirelessly for our freedoms as Ken Paxton against the overreach and abuses of the Biden administration. I urge my fellow West Texans to vote for Ken Paxton in the U.S. Senate race.”

Congressman Brandon Gill mentioned, “I have been an early supporter of Attorney General Paxton because he is the conservative fighter that Texas needs in the U.S. Senate. Texans want a proven leader who puts Texas first.”

This endorsement comes as Paxton faces off against Talarico in the Senate race. Recent reports indicated that Talarico bought a home nearby in June 2022 but had issues with his voter registration, which raised some concerns. Paxton has alleged election fraud, while Talarico’s campaign asserts he is correctly registered.

Recently, Paxton joined 15 other Republican state attorneys general in supporting President Donald Trump’s request for prompt passage of a budget resolution in the Senate. They argued it would aid election integrity and provide resources for the military and farmers. “Our call to action underscores the importance of Congress supporting those who need it, including those in agriculture,” they concluded.
