Fogge It is an independent film, War Room, It was a hit film in 2015, becoming the number one box office hit and winning the Dove Award for Best Inspirational Film of the Year.

“We want the church to grow in discipleship,” Alex Kendrick told Crosswalk Headlines, “…we don’t need lukewarm Christians in the church anymore. We need to see people who are committed to Jesus, who honor and honour Him, who truly desire to walk more intimately with Him. This film focuses on what that looks like.”
“We believe the church needs this message right now,” Stephen Kendrick said.
The Kendricks Brothers are known for their films with messages. Fireproof (2008) inspired moviegoers to make their marriages stronger. Brave (2011) focused on fathers, War Room A 2019 film focusing on prayer Overcomer They encouraged Christians to find their identity in Christ and not in the world. Forge The film emphasizes the importance of discipleship through the story of Joshua (Arnett), an older man who leads a group of men’s disciples that Isaiah joins.
The filmmakers are developing small group Bible studies and publishing books for churches looking to start discipleship programs.
The filmmakers said discipleship was a key part of Jesus’ ministry, with Alex Kendrick noting that Christ “poured upon” his disciples “on a more intimate level” than he did with others.
“It made them grow. It was tough for them at times, but they bore fruit on a deeper level,” he said, “and they walked more intimately with the Lord, so that’s what we want to do, too.”
Discipleship, he noted, is “not just about converting to a faith.”
Stephen Kendrick said the next generation “desperately” needs the message of discipleship.
“They’re emotionally disconnected,” he says. “They see these really great speakers on YouTube, but they don’t have a connection with the speaker. The speaker doesn’t know their name and can’t answer their questions.” …circlePeople watching ForgeThey will laugh and they will be touched, it’s a family movie, but hopefully they will be encouraged in their own walk with the Lord. And they are also called to look to the next generation and say, “This isn’t rocket science. I can share what God has poured into my life.” And I can start teaching and Let’s build relationships and share God’s truth and example with the next generation.”
