Kenneth Mitchell, star of ‘Star Trek: Discovery’, dead at 49

Kenneth Mitchell, who starred in the hit series “Star Trek: Discovery” and the Marvel movie “Captain Marvel,” reportedly passed away on Sunday after a five-year battle with ALS. He was 49 years old.

Mitchell’s family said, “It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, husband, brother, uncle, son, and dear friend, Kenneth Alexander Mitchell. ” announced. X (old Twitter) and Instagram.

“Ken was widely known as an actor in many films and television shows. He played an Olympic candidate, an apocalyptic survivor, an astronaut, a superhero father, and four unique Star Trekkers. ” the statement continued.

“Ken was diligent and diligent in everything he did, and those traits were best expressed in his fatherhood,” the statement said. “He was extremely dedicated to being a positive, playful force in his children’s lives. The newspaper has contacted Mitchell’s representatives for comment.

The Toronto actor, born November 24, 1974, was diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, in 2018, according to the post.

“For five and a half years, Ken faced a series of terrifying challenges with ALS. And in true Ken fashion, he rose through each one with grace and a determination to live a full and joyful life every moment. “We were able to do that,” the family wrote.
