Kevin Bacon’s Missing Clothes Saga
Kevin Bacon, the beloved actor, recently found himself in a bit of a predicament regarding a package of clothes he shipped to Ireland. At 68, Bacon shared his frustrations on social media, reaching out to his fans for assistance in tracking down his lost belongings.
In a candid message, he explained, “Hey everybody, it’s me. I’m over here, I’m working in Ireland. I wanted to pack light, so I decided to ship some old clothes over here to Ireland. I don’t buy a lot of clothes. I’ve had these clothes probably since the ’90s.”
Bacon humorously referenced the shipping company without naming it, saying it “rhymes with BreadX.” He detailed how he sent the package from upstate New York on September 26, which first went to Memphis, then to France, arriving in Germany by September 28. Surprising to him, it then took an unexpected turn to Israel, not Ireland.
Continuing his story, he revealed that on October 3, the package returned to France, only to be sent back to Israel the next day. By October 5, it travelled back to Germany and then to Israel again on October 6.
On October 10, the box of clothes made its way to France, and by the next day, it had finally reached the UK. Almost there! But on October 11, it was sent back to Ireland, where, Bacon lamented, it has been stuck for five days, with no sign of delivery.
Bacon expressed his bewilderment at the situation, emphasizing, “I don’t understand why. It’s just sitting there. I can’t get a person on the phone. I know what you’re thinking: Just go buy some more clothes.”
He acknowledged that while purchasing new clothes is an option, he truly wanted those particular items. “I’ve had them since the ’90s. These are like … they have a certain sentimental value,” he added, seemingly nostalgic about the old boots, jeans, and hats he lost track of.
As the temperatures dropped, he couldn’t help but wonder if he’d ever see his things again. Finally, it seems that while FedEx has apologized for the mess and is in touch with Bacon’s team, clarity on what went wrong is still pending, leaving Bacon—and perhaps many of his fans—hoping for the best outcome.
