It’s a rare day when a truly good movie comes along — one that isn’t saturated with woke agendas — but according to Jason Whitlock, Kevin Costner’s western “Horizon: An American Saga Chapter 1” is all box.

“This is the first time I’ve ever loudly recommended a movie. I loved Horizon,” said Jason, giving it a 9.5 out of 10, in part because “it had no agenda.”
“I just watched the film and didn’t feel like anyone was trying to pressure me into anything,” he told Kevin Donahue and Shameka Michelle.
But not everyone shares Jason’s enthusiasm.
“For me it was torture,” counters Shameka, who says that despite her dislike of Westerns in general, she thought the film was “well written.”
She also appreciated that the film showed that “Indians are not just peaceful people whose land was taken by evil colonizers.”
“It was a classic Western,” Kevin added. “It was historically accurate and had a great setting,” and “[showed] A wild and rugged America we no longer know.”
However, he acknowledged that it could be difficult to follow at times because there were “a lot of subplots” and that the film “starts off pretty violently.”
Overall he gave the film a “7 out of 10”.
Jason, on the other hand, thinks “Horizon” is nearly beyond reproach and is surprised that anyone is criticizing it.
“I’m the greatest film critic in the history of film criticism, and I want audiences to not care about Shameka and Kevin when I say this is a great classic film,” he says.
