Kevin Durant’s Attempt to Stay Under the Radar
Kevin Durant, standing at 6 feet 11 inches, has discovered that his height brings certain challenges. During a recent date in California, he attempted to conceal himself behind some bushes but didn’t quite succeed. According to reports, the paparazzi eventually spotted him with an unidentified woman.
After enjoying a meal at Nobu Malibu, the 37-year-old athlete waited for several minutes, trying to keep a low profile until the woman emerged from the restaurant, as the photographer noted.
Durant reportedly offered her a ride before they exited together.
Often private about his romantic life, Durant has been open about his thoughts on marriage, expressing some skepticism. He was previously engaged to former WNBA player Monica Wright in 2013, but that engagement was ultimately called off.
Reflecting on that relationship, he mentioned, “I had a fiancé, but…I didn’t really know how to love her. You know what I’m saying? We just went our separate ways,” in an interview with GQ back in 2015.
More recently, Durant shared his views on marriage, stating that he has “no expectations” for it to be in his future. He noted the high divorce rates and expressed concern, saying, “I think divorce is more realistic because the divorce rate is so high…but it’s forever and you’re counting on it being 50-50. I don’t know if you want to accept that probability.”
He elaborated, “It’s like the word marriage, what a relationship is, I want to be with this person every day, I want to spend every day with the same person…I never dreamed of having a wedding…When I go to a wedding, I’m like, ‘Oh, this is cool, oh, this is awesome’…It’s not like I have to do that in my head.”
Durant also mentioned in an interview last October that he wasn’t seriously pursuing anything in terms of relationships at that time.
Speculation has arisen that prior to this date, Durant was linked to Liz Cambage, a former WNBA player and current OnlyFans star.
In his reflections on relationships, Durant shared his preference for friendships, emphasizing, “Someone you can hang out with every day, someone you can talk to coolly…it’s better to have no expectations, because sometimes I might not want to talk to you, I might not want to see you.”
Recently, Durant wrapped up his 19th NBA season, which was his first with the Rockets. However, it ended on a frustrating note after he missed significant time during a tough stretch for the team against the Lakers due to an injury.
