Brittany Mahomes Supports Her Husband Amid Chiefs’ Challenges
Brittany Mahomes has consistently expressed her backing for her husband, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
While Patrick remains one of the premier talents in the NFL, the Chiefs’ irregular performances this season have sparked concerns regarding their chances for the playoffs.
Having reached the Super Bowl four times in the last five years, the team currently sits at 6-6 as they head into a pivotal Week 14 match against the Houston Texans. A defeat on Sunday night could significantly jeopardize their playoff aspirations.
Should the Chiefs manage to secure a win against the Texans, however, their playoff prospects would improve quite a bit.
Debates Surrounding Mahomes’ Performance
Uncertainties about playoff teams have led to discussions about Mahomes’ performance in the current season. In response to critics, two-time NBA champion Kevin Durant defended Mahomes, emphasizing his exceptional talent.
Durant expressed disbelief at questions about Mahomes’ abilities, stating, “What kind of question is that? It makes no sense at all. If anyone is questioning what Pat Mahomes did in just one year, he could miss the playoffs for the rest of his career. I don’t care.” He continued, “This guy is Patrick Mahomes. When he came out, how many championships would he have won? Three? Come on, are you going to ask Pat Mahomes, Chris Jones, Travis Kelce? He’s still the greatest player of all time, potentially the greatest player of all time.”
A clip of Durant’s remarks was later posted on Instagram, where Brittany chimed in, commenting, “Please let them know.”
On another note, CJ Stroud returned to the Texans’ lineup in Week 13 against the Indianapolis Colts. The game between the Chiefs and Texans is set to kickoff at 8:20 p.m. ET.
