Kevin Durant wants to kill NBA All-Star weekend

If you can't fix it, kill it, says Kevin Durant.

After a disastrous NBA All-Star weekend, which appears to be universally lightly by fans, players and critics, Durant is ready to give the weekend's events the death penalty, even after debuting a new format.

“I think it's more fun to complain about the NBA than you actually see,” Durant said in X.

The NBA All-Star weekend has been attacked in recent years, and criticism doesn't seem to grow anytime soon.

Fans and Warriors star Draymond Greene – criticising the lack of urgency among players in the game, a new format featuring mini-tournaments, and Kevin Hart as the game's MC.

In particular, when discussing how Green rates the game as zero out of 10 and plays it to 40 instead of the traditional East vs West game in a 5-on-5 tournament, he says “not basketball.” Ta.

X's Outkick Personality @Thegunzshow responded to Durant about his fan's poor product.

“KD… Today is Yall's holiday. I'm asking you to rewatch the full live broadcast. Watch it from your couch,” he wrote. “And see if you can see the full event straight. And it was an All-Star game. Not ideal.”

Durant seemed to have retarded his stance a bit, but still fans think he is enjoying the grumble.

“I got it,” he wrote. “My point is that fans complain about everything. Just as there's nothing good for fans right now. What they enjoy is the playoffs, trade deadlines, free agency and players. It's time to make beef for each other.”

Fans certainly complain about the pace of play in the NBA. This includes a lack of defense across the league and an extreme volume of three-point jump shots.

It got so bad that some lost their faith in Commissioner Adam Silver.

The ratings at some point this season were down by 25%, but that rebounded against more normalized numbers, and certainly, Luka Donsic is now with the Lakers.

Perhaps Durant is just complaining as his team won Sunday, with former teammate Stephen Curry earning All-Star Game MVP honors.
