Kevin Faulk's second daughter passes away unexpectedly

Tanasha Faulk, the daughter of former LSU football star and three-time Super Bowl champion Kevin Faulk, sadly passed away on Saturday, as reported by the Acadiana Legal Advocacy Bureau.

She was just 30 years old.

Tanasha died at Ochenor Lafayette Medical Center in Lafayette, Louisiana. While the cause of her death has not yet been disclosed, authorities do not suspect any foul play.

Kevin and his wife Latisha experienced another tragic loss in September 2021 when they lost their daughter Kevione. She was only 19 years old at the time and worked as a student employee for the LSU football program, which remains significant to their family.

In her obituary, Tanasha is remembered for her deep love for her family and for being a devoted mother to three daughters. It was said that “being their mother brought her great joy,” and she cherished watching them grow. The obituary goes on to mention her enjoyment of holidays, birthdays, and especially family gatherings like Mardi Gras. Cooking was a passion of hers, and she found happiness in preparing meals that brought loved ones together. Her laughter, generosity, and warmth made everyone feel at home.

Kevin and Latisha have been together since middle school and also have a son, Kevin III.

Tanasha graduated from Carencro High School in 2014. Her father, Kevin Faulk, was a star quarterback in high school, leading his team to a state championship in 1992.

Kevin Faulk, now 49, made a name for himself as a running back at LSU, receiving accolades like All-Collegiate and All-SEC honors. He is also the program’s all-time leader in rushing yards and achieved three Super Bowl victories with the New England Patriots.

After hanging up his cleats, he returned to Baton Rouge as an assistant coach at LSU, contributing to the program that shaped his career.
