Kevin Federline claims his memoir aims to support Britney Spears as the pop star struggles.

Oops, he did it again

Kevin Federline recently said he was merely trying to assist his ex-wife, Britney Spears, with her memoir, “You Thought You Knew.”

The 43-year-old former backup dancer shared with Vanity Fair that he didn’t intend to “hurt her” or “bring anyone down” with the revelations. He described the situation as Spears being caught in a “vicious spiral.”

In his memoir, Federline claims that Spears engaged in cheating, mistreated their children, and used drugs while breastfeeding. He insists he’s coming from a “place of understanding,” stating, “I want you to know that I was involved in all of this too. I’m not here to point fingers.”

While raising their sons, Sean Preston and Jaden, she admitted to some partying but firmly noted, “The difference is, I knew what was important to my kids.” She emphasized that she was aware of her parenting responsibilities and that nothing harmful was happening that could affect them.

Federline mentioned that many have remained “silent” about Spears, motivated by a desire to see her recover. He expressed hope that Spears would demonstrate to the public that she “knows exactly what’s going on” and that she “really cares” about him and their family.

He affirmed his role as a father, saying, “Yes, I do. I mean, who would I be as a father if I didn’t advocate for my sons’ mother?”

On the accuracy of details in Spears’ memoir, “The Woman in Me,” he stated, “I don’t know how accurate everything was.” However, he acknowledged, “She has a right to tell her story… Everyone has a right to tell their story.”

Since Federline started promoting his book, Spears has been vocally supporting it, yet her agent suggested that this could be an opportunity for her to “profit” from the situation. Spears remarked that her ex-husband was feeling “very hurt and exhausted.”

Not long after, she described it as “horrifying” how compelling Federline was with the press. Reports later surfaced showing her driving erratically following a night out, raising further concern about her state. A source mentioned she feels “backed into a corner” and that “old wounds are being reopened.”
