Kevin Hart claims he will never host an awards ceremony again.
“Whatever little hope you had, I want to dash it right now,” Kevin told Sky News. “That kind of show is not a good show for comics. It's not an Oscar, it's not a Globe, it's not a good show for comics. It's not a comedy-friendly environment anymore.
“Some years it was just a bunch of personalities hosting, and I think they did a good job of that. It's great. It's collaborative. Act one, act two, act two. Different people will be in charge of the third act. But, you know, the days when that was a comic book room are over.”
Hart's comments come after comedian Jo Koy received backlash for a joke he made at the 2024 Golden Globes.Coy's alleged mistakes included targeted jokes musician taylor swift and multiple bargains on the 2023 blockbuster “Barbie.”

When the topic of the show came up, Koy joked, “What's the big difference between the Golden Globes and the NFL? There aren't many camera shots of Taylor Swift at the Golden Globes. I swear.”
As soon as he told the joke, the camera panned to Swift, who didn't seem amused.
Koi admitted cold reception In the middle of his performance, he admitted during a monologue that some of his lines weren't coming through properly.
“I got the gig 10 days ago,” he told the crowd. “You want the perfect monologue? Oh, shut up…I wrote some and you're laughing at me.”
The host said Monday on ABC's “Good Morning America” that his reception at the awards ceremony was “hurt.”
“It was fun,” he said. “You know, that was a moment I'll always remember. It's a tough room. It was hard work. I'm not going to lie.

“Shout out to those who cracked the code early on and did it right. You know, girls like the Chris Rocks of the world, the Billy Crystals of the world, the Tina Feys, the Amy Poehlers. “Ricky Gervais,” Hart said.
“There are a lot of people who understand that if you're not an industry comic, a comic that depicts everyone's relationships, the room is very cold. So it's definitely an advantage for me to be doing that. .I know that room…but it's not the same for others.

“It's not the live show that it used to be. There's so much pressure on the idea of comics and what's a joke and what's not a joke. So it's tough.”
In 2019, the comedian was scheduled to host the Oscars. Ahead of the awards ceremony, Hart's tweets from more than a decade ago resurfaced. Included were anti-gay comments deemed offensive and clips from his previous stand-up shows.
That same year, Hart told Variety that he did not plan to host the awards ceremony. Hart has previously hosted the BET Awards, MTV Movie Awards, and MTV Video Music Awards.
SNL star Michael Che recently weighed in on this conversation.
