McCarthy Questions Harris’ Credibility and Upcoming Book
Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy raised some critical questions about Fox News on Thursday, particularly concerning former Vice President Kamala Harris and her forthcoming books.
Harris announced on Twitter that her new book, titled “107 Days,” will provide insights into her short-lived presidential campaign. It’s set to be released on September 23rd. During an appearance on “Ingraham Angle,” McCarthy pointed out three specific inquiries he believes Harris should address in the book.
“She was honest, but did she ever really believe she was leading in the polls? Would she admit that she knew all along she wasn’t going to win?” McCarthy questioned.
He compared Harris’ new book to her previous media appearances, suggesting that her credibility is somewhat contrived.
“Dramatically, she acted as if she was about to take an important call during her campaign, making it seem urgent when, in reality, it was a setup with Barack Obama supporting her. It all seemed staged,” he remarked.
McCarthy expressed concerns about Harris’ authenticity, implying that her political maneuvers are more about strategy than genuine introspection. “She’s probably considering a run for governor, but I suspect she’s second-guessing that, realizing she wouldn’t win. I think this book is her way of positioning herself for another Democratic candidacy,” he said. “The truth is, she had to actually win something, and she never won a primary.”
Harris recently stated that she will not be running for governor of California but has not ruled out a bid for the presidency in 2028.
