Dispute Over Gravy Leads to Stabbing at KFC in Nevada

Two men reportedly attacked a Kentucky Fried Chicken employee over a disagreement concerning gravy in Nevada. This incident, which occurred on December 27, has resulted in charges of attempted murder against James Carter, 48, and Gerald Carter, 32, following their arrest in Las Vegas.

The police were called to the fast food restaurant after receiving reports of a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers detained four individuals and allegedly discovered a large folding knife in Gerald’s possession.

One of those detained shared that Gerald had become upset about the gravy and had left KFC but returned multiple times, growing increasingly agitated as he felt the staff had disrespected him.

Gerald, accompanied by his uncle James, was captured on video entering the restaurant and approaching the counter. The footage shows Gerald stabbing the employee several times while his uncle appears to restrain him in a choke hold for a few moments.

The employee was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, but details regarding their condition remain unclear.

Gerald later acknowledged that he had argued with staff but stated that the knife was merely in his pocket. In a somewhat contradictory account, another customer claimed that the altercation arose due to the employee allegedly “name-calling” and belittling him.

A judge has set a bail of $100,000 for Gerald and $10,000 for James. Should they post bail, both men will have to wear ankle monitors. North Las Vegas police have yet to respond to inquiries concerning the case.
