Savannah Guthrie is in the spotlight again for her previous comments.
Khloe Kardashian has reacted to Guthrie’s recent apology regarding a “strange question” she posed about Khloe’s father during an interview back in 2012.
The former star of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” 41, shared her thoughts in an Instagram post on Tuesday, bringing attention to Guthrie’s regrets.
“She’s such a sweetheart!” Khloe commented. “It takes a truly wonderful person to take responsibility like that, and I really admire her! ❤️❤️❤️ 👑👑👑👑”
So far, there hasn’t been a response from Guthrie’s team regarding this issue.
During a segment on NBC’s morning show, Guthrie opened up about her interview with Khloe.
“I asked Khloe Kardashian just seconds before we were supposed to discuss the rumors surrounding her father, Robert Kardashian—the ones suggesting he wasn’t actually her biological dad,” she recalled.
Guthrie admitted she hesitated to bring up the sensitive topic of whether O.J. Simpson was Khloe’s actual father because she felt really uncomfortable about it.
She commended Khloe for handling the situation with such grace.
Back in 2012, Guthrie had raised the question live on the Today show amid rumors linking Simpson to Khloe, which caused quite a stir.
Khloe responded at that time, making it clear that she had “nothing to do with” the accusations.
In February, Guthrie shared on “Radio Andy” that the show’s producers pushed her to ask that question, which led her to make a rookie mistake.
A few years after that awkward moment, Khloe took to Twitter to express her disdain for the trolls perpetuating those rumors, calling them crude and inappropriate.
O.J. Simpson later addressed the matter during a podcast episode in 2022.
“That rumor is completely false,” he asserted. “It’s not even close to the truth.”
Simpson was famously acquitted of the murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman in 1995, with Robert Kardashian serving as his lawyer.
At the time, Robert was married to Kris Jenner, and they had Khloe, along with her siblings Kim, Kourtney, and Rob. He passed away in 2003.
Interestingly, Caitlyn Jenner, who was married to Kris, shares children Kendall and Kylie with her.
Simpson also spent time in prison for armed robbery from 2008 to 2017 and lost his battle with prostate cancer in early 2023, though Khloe didn’t publicly comment on his death.
