Kid Rock Honors Charlie Kirk with Special Tribute at Concert

Kid Rock delivered a surprising yet heartfelt moment of remembrance during his recent concert at the Hondo Rodeo Fest in Arizona. In a tribute to the late conservative activist Charlie Kirk, he added a new verse to Cody Johnson’s popular song “Till You Can’t.”

Kid Rock stepped in for Johnson, who was recovering from surgery, and performed in front of a packed audience. What began as a typical concert quickly transformed into a poignant homage.

As Kid Rock shared his thoughts with the crowd, he recounted waking up alone one Sunday morning with a strong urge to write down a missing verse for the song. “At that moment,” he mentioned, “someone or something spoke to me…” His emotions were palpable as he recognized the inspiration behind his new lyrics.

During this special moment, a large screen displayed footage of Kirk during his eulogy, enhancing the emotional depth of the tribute. “Now I know exactly who was talking to me that morning,” Kid Rock said, his voice thick with feeling.

The new lyrics he introduced emphasized themes of faith and forgiveness, resonating deeply with the audience:

  • “Somewhere in your house there’s a book you could use to dust off/There’s a man who died for all our sins/Hung on a cross/
  • “You can give your life to Jesus/and He will give you a second chance/
  • “Until you can’t, until you can’t.”

The crowd responded enthusiastically to Kid Rock’s tribute. Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, was assassinated on September 10th, leaving a significant impact on many.

In the wake of Kirk’s death, Kid Rock expressed his frustration with mainstream media. He criticized them for perpetuating division, calling them “weirdoes” for their portrayal of the situation. His remarks followed discussions regarding the motivations of the suspect involved in Kirk’s tragic demise.
