What does Kid Rock have for breakfast? That’s a curious question, but perhaps even more intriguing is the timing of his meals. This week, the musician, whose real name is Robert Richie, shared on “Fox & Friends” that he prefers to eat breakfast in the afternoon.

“I’ll have breakfast at 1 PM or 5 PM,” Kid Rock mentioned during a live interview with Steve Doocy at his new Nashville eatery, Detroit Cowboy.

Doocy raised an eyebrow at this. “Well, that’s not breakfast,” he quipped. “It’s more like lunch.” Kid Rock, however, didn’t seem fazed. “It’s breakfast. I just have to eat at another time,” he remarked.

Kid Rock’s latest venture is a collaboration with Joe Moor, a restaurateur from his hometown, Detroit. The establishment serves steak and seafood, with plenty of memorabilia from his music career adorning the walls.

Interestingly, a mirror in the restaurant features a motto: “I’ll go to a place where you’re not praised,” which Kid Rock mentioned reflects the spirit of the venue. He recalled that a few years back, he faced challenges with a previous location in Detroit related to cancel culture, ultimately leading him to not renew his lease.

The restaurant is designed as a welcoming spot for patrons seeking “good food and cold drinks.” It celebrated its grand opening recently with notable guests, including actor Dennis Quaid and Grammy-winning singer Lee Greenwood performing.

Former President Donald Trump acknowledged the opening as well. He congratulated Kid Rock in a post on Truth Social, mentioning he looks forward to visiting the restaurant, which he described as a “very friendly MAGA facility.”

It’s clear that Kid Rock is not just about music; he’s carving out a niche in the culinary scene, all while maintaining his unique approach to life and dining.
