Kid Rock's Song from Halftime Show Takes Over Sales Chart, Surpassing Bad Bunny

Kid Rock’s Performance Rises in Apple’s Charts

A Christian-themed song by Kid Rock has overtaken Bad Bunny’s track on Apple’s sales charts as of Monday. Kid Rock covered Cody Johnson’s song “Till You Can’t” during the Turning Point USA (TPUSA) “All American Halftime Show,” which was largely seen as a response to Bad Bunny’s performance at the Super Bowl the day before.

This performance has stirred some controversy, particularly concerning Bad Bunny’s remarks about Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), which didn’t sit well with many. According to the charts, Johnson’s original version remains in second place, while Bad Bunny’s “DtMF” sits at third.

It’s surprising, really—three out of the top four songs on Apple’s Top Selling Chart stem from the US Halftime Show. Kid Rock’s new rendition, Cody Johnson’s original, and Gabby Barrett’s “The Good Ones” have all made quite an impact.

As discussions about President Donald Trump’s immigration policies heat up, the NFL has stood by its choice to feature Bad Bunny, emphasizing the rapper’s extensive international reach.

In response, TPUSA announced an upcoming show featuring Kid Rock along with country artists Brantley Lee, Lee Brice, and Gabby Barrett. This performance managed to attract over 25 million views, despite not being able to air on X.

Bad Bunny’s act was performed entirely in Spanish and included various Puerto Rican cultural elements, like backup singers dressed in traditional attire. He expressed his admiration for various American countries, finishing with a “God bless America.”

However, Bad Bunny has been vocal in his criticism of Trump and ICE, famously stating, “Before I say thank God, I’m going to say stop ICE” during the Grammy Awards. Additionally, he has refrained from touring within the continental U.S. due to concerns about potential ICE raids on his concerts.
