The House Freedom Caucus said Thursday that the path to securing the border is by killing House Speaker Mike Johnson’s (R-Louisiana) foreign aid plan.
“The House Freedom Caucus votes against the rules in the ‘America Last’ foreign war supplement package that would provide zero border security and calls on all House Republicans to do the same. To protect our borders. must break the rules,” the House Freedom Caucus said in a statement.
Don’t just tweet about border security. To actually do that, disable the following rule @SpeakerJohnsonsan’s #America’s last foreign war package.

The Freedom Caucus’ statement comes as Prime Minister Boris Johnson moves to pass a foreign aid package that does not include border measures. Conservatives say further boosting foreign aid to Ukraine requires steps to address the migrant crisis on the southern border.

Conservatives are alarmed by the perception that House Speaker Johnson is using Democrats to pass rules for a foreign aid package.
“This is unprecedented. Speaker Johnson will said a Democrat on the Rules Committee. Is he now working for the Democratic Party or the Republican Party? ”
He added, “This is an ‘exposure’ of the United Party.”
Rep. Jim Banks (R-Ind.) wrote, “Nothing like this has ever happened before the minority party votes on the rules.”
“This is evidence that Speaker Johnson is negotiating with AOC and the Democrats to give them everything they want,” Greene wrote. “He has made a deal with Democrats to protect the Speakership by changing the standards for motions to resign. Mike Johnson = Democratic Speaker (Nancy Pelosi).”
