Kilmar Abrego Garcia Takes Legal Action Against Kristi Noem and Pam Bondi

Gag Order Sought by MS-13 Member Against Officials

Kilmer Abrego Garcia, linked to the MS-13 gang, is requesting gag orders against Christie Noem from the Department of Homeland Security and Attorney General Pam Bondy. On Thursday, his legal team claimed that the Trump administration had “targeted” him.

The lawyers contended that Abrego Garcia was subjected to “highly prejudiced, inflammatory, false statements” by administration officials.

In documents submitted to District Judge Waverly Crenshaw, Abrego Garcia’s attorney argued:

To ensure his right to a fair trial, Mr. Abrego insists on prior demands for all DOJ and DHS officials involved in this case to refrain from making extrajudicial remarks, as they could significantly harm this process.

The request for a gag order coincides with Abrego Garcia’s legal team announcing that undocumented individuals are seeking asylum in the U.S. due to fears of being sent back to Uganda.

Reports indicate that Abrego Garcia has been in Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody since a federal judge ordered his release from a Tennessee prison.

He is currently held by Virginia ICE after being released from prison before a trial related to human smuggling.

Earlier this year, Abrego Garcia, often referred to as “the Maryland man” by Democrats and the media, was deported to El Salvador. While some continue to defend him, the White House has pulled back, labeling him as a “brutal MS-13 gang leader.”

The administration firmly asserts that he, having been deported, will not return and is linked to human trafficking activities. They emphasize that he is a member of the violent MS-13 gang, which has been designated a foreign terrorist organization.

Moreover, Breitbart News reports that Abrego Garcia, who denies any MS-13 affiliations, also faces allegations of domestic violence against his wife.
