Kim Kardashian has expressed her frustration with being criticized for her parenting decisions, particularly regarding her daughter’s fashion choices. Recently, the 44-year-old reality star pushed back against comments made about her daughter North’s outfit selections, which have stirred up some controversy.

In a conversation with Alex Cooper during her appearance on a podcast, Kardashian stated, “Unless you’ve been here before, like mothers of teenagers and pre-teens, I think we all need a little bit of a reprieve.” She emphasized that, as a single mom raising four children, she’s trying her best.

“Everyone who’s raising kids, especially on their own, is doing the best they can,” she added. “My kids are good kids. So I ask you to be less judgmental and more graceful. It’s not easy.” It seems navigating parenting with preteens comes with its challenges, doesn’t it?

Kardashian and North recently faced scrutiny online after being photographed in Rome sporting corset-like tops and unique hairstyles. Reflecting on the experience, Kardashian quipped, “It’s funny because all the kids seem to be wearing the same thing, but when my daughter tried it on, I thought, ‘Okay, I guess I won’t wear that again.’” Unfortunately, that moment was shared publicly.

She further explained North’s fashion choices: “She’s a girl who tends to dress like a tomboy, but she wanted to try on what her friends were wearing. I think it’s important for her to explore different styles even if she finds something doesn’t quite fit her.”

Kardashian noted that she values North’s creativity and will support her choices, saying that she doesn’t want to stifle her daughter’s expression. “She listens to me,” Kardashian clarified, “but I think it’s great if she wants to try blue hair or whatever makes her happy.” It’s about allowing children their own space to discover who they are, right?

North, according to Kardashian, has a good sense of self. “She’s confident and thinks, ‘I wouldn’t date those people’ when faced with criticism,” she shared. It’s interesting how kids often process such things with a wisdom that can surprise us.
