Kim Kardashian Comments on Family Drama Involving Meghan Markle and Prince Harry

Kim Kardashian recently addressed the bizarre situation involving her family and the “photogate” incident that has captivated social media, particularly regarding Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex mysteriously vanished from social media posts by Kris Jenner just hours after she showcased pictures from her extravagant 70th birthday celebration.

On a podcast episode hosted by her sister, Kim shared that a seemingly innocent photo with Meghan, where Prince Harry could be seen in the background, was taken down as well. She expressed how odd it was that such a simple post turned into a major topic online.

Kris hosted a lavish, James Bond-themed birthday party at a Beverly Hills mansion owned by Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez. Many celebrities, including Bill Gates, Paris Hilton, and Adele, were present. Interestingly, the royal couple kicked off their evening by attending the Baby2Baby Gala nearby, where Meghan and Harry cheered for friend Serena Williams.

In Kim’s words, “My mom and Duchess Meghan have been friends for several years, and they have a really sweet relationship.” She further elaborated that everyone involved had agreed on what to share online and emphasized their practice of seeking permission before posting. “That’s just how we do things,” she said.

Kardashian explained that Meghan and Harry had intended to share the birthday party moment, but later realized it coincided with Memorial Day. They opted to remove the posts to respect the holiday, which she found relatable, thinking, “This is kind of silly.” Kim remarked that it felt inappropriate to be seen enjoying themselves at a party given the day’s significance.

Kim reflected on the humor in the situation, noting that sometimes it helps to lighten the mood. Drawing from the incident, she half-joked about launching a playful campaign for her SKIMS brand using those photos, though she ultimately admitted to not having the necessary permissions. “If I had handled it differently, I think people’s reactions would have been more positive,” she mused.

She concluded by reiterating that the fuss surrounding it all felt exaggerated, stating, “It was just made to be so crazy and ridiculous that it didn’t need to be.” Meanwhile, no remarks have come from representatives for Meghan and Harry regarding the incident.
