Kim Kardashian’s Future Plans: A Shift from Reality Star to Trial Lawyer
Kim Kardashian has shared her intentions to move on from her famous “Kim K” identity in the next decade.
During her recent guest appearance on “The Graham Norton Show,” she expressed a desire to pursue a career as a trial lawyer once she passes the bar exam this July.
“I should be qualified in about two weeks. My goal is to practice law,” she explained.
“Maybe in ten years, I’ll leave behind being Kim K and focus on being a trial lawyer,” she added. “That’s the path I’m truly passionate about.”
In May, at a private graduation ceremony with family and friends, Kardashian celebrated earning her law degree after a rigorous six-year journey. Her mentor highlighted her dedication in a video shared on her Instagram Story.
“Six years ago, Kim entered this program with nothing but a strong desire to advocate for justice. No shortcuts—just pure determination,” the mentor stated.
They also noted that Kardashian put in “18 hours a week, 48 weeks a year, over six consecutive years.” That’s, wow, a total of 5,184 hours dedicated to studying law while also managing her four children, her business, and filming a TV show.
Kardashian has kept her followers informed about her law journey, even posting casual photos of herself studying in a bikini back in 2021.
Kardashian first disclosed her law studies in a 2019 Vogue interview, motivated by the positive impact she had seen in the case of Alice Marie Johnson, a woman she helped release from prison.
Reflecting on her journey, she mentioned, “I had to think about this deeply. A call from the White House pushed me to consider how to change the pardon system. I found myself in the Roosevelt Room alongside influential judges and powerful figures, and I thought, ‘This is something I want to delve into more.’ But I relied on a lawyer to guide me through the case’s complexities.”
“It’s never just one person making changes; it’s a collective effort. I was always aware of my role, but I yearned to advocate for those who have served their time,” she continued. “I believe the system has the potential to improve. If we learned more, we could achieve more.”
The Skims founder has been open about her educational journey, admitting to failing the difficult ‘baby bar’ exam three times before succeeding in 2021.
In a different interview, she expressed aspirations of starting a “successful law firm” one day. It’s interesting, considering her late father, Robert Kardashian, was a notable lawyer known for his involvement in the high-profile O.J. Simpson case.
