Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann’s Divorce Proceedings Continue

“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kim Zolciak and her estranged husband Kroy Biermann have been embroiled in a contentious divorce since 2023, but there are signs they are moving on with their lives.

Kroy, a former Atlanta Falcons player, initiated the divorce after nearly 12 years of marriage in May. Kim responded with her own divorce petition just hours after, though they reached a temporary agreement until they could revisit the situation in August.

Kroy is seeking sole legal and physical custody of their four children: Kroy Jr., Kash, and twins Kaia and Kane. He also wants to include Kim’s adult daughters from previous relationships, Brielle and Ariana, in the custody discussions.

The couple had a lavish wedding showcased in a spin-off show in November 2011 and later received a family-focused program. Over the last two years, their divorce proceedings have turned increasingly distressing, with issues like allegations of drug use, questionable parenting, and financial troubles surfacing.

In June, Zolciak’s daughter Ariana admitted that she would pray nightly for her parents to reconcile. “Unfortunately, I think there’s just too much damage at this point,” she shared in a podcast. She also mentioned the daunting prospect of testifying in court, calling it “the craziest thing ever.” Despite the turmoil, Ariana noted that the situation has brought her closer to her mother and sister Briel, leading them to feel like “three best friends.”

Now, nearly two years after beginning the divorce process, it seems Kim and Kroy are taking steps forward in their personal lives. Kroy has shifted from his career in professional sports to a sales role in Atlanta, focusing on cranes and rigging.

Meanwhile, Kim has taken to social media to share snippets of her life post-separation. Recently, she expressed gratitude for her family and friends, highlighting events like her twins graduating from fifth grade and announcing that she has moved to a new home. “I’m forever grateful for every day,” she wrote, sharing her excitement about upcoming adventures.

To celebrate her 47th birthday in May, Kim posted bikini photos, calling it “the best feeling” she’d had in years. She reflected on the blessings in her life, stating she feels a sense of peace she hadn’t experienced before.

Interestingly, Kim seems to have also rekindled her relationship with her parents after a long estrangement. Her daughter Briel recently shared a photo on social media with Kim and their grandparents, noting, “It was too long!”

This situation serves as a reminder of the complexities of family dynamics during challenging times, and while Kim and Kroy navigate their separation, they are also faced with the reality of redefining their relationships with those around them.
