In Georgia, an 18-year-old named Kingston Lammar Bradley has been charged with malice murder after police reportedly found dismembered remains in the trunk of his vehicle. This unsettling discovery came to light on a Friday when witnesses noticed Bradley carrying a container at his apartment complex. When he realized someone saw him, he reportedly dropped the container and hurried into his apartment, as explained by Smyrna Police Lt. Meredith Holt during a press briefing.
Concerned witnesses then contacted the police after they discovered the human remains inside the container. Earlier, police had visited Bradley’s residence after relatives of a missing woman notified them that her car and phone were located there, although no search warrant was executed at that time.
Following the report of the remains, authorities returned with a search warrant for Bradley’s car, uncovering a garbage bag that, according to a police statement, exhibited the outline of what appeared to be a body part. The Cobb County Medical Examiner’s office later confirmed that the bags contained human remains.
The victim has been identified as Shanteria “KT” Mosley, who had been reported missing by her family. Notably, Mosley worked for DoorDash, and it was noted that she hadn’t been on duty the day she vanished, as per information from the company. Her DoorDash account was reportedly last active on a Tuesday.
At this stage, it remains unclear how Bradley and Mosley are connected. Lt. Holt described this crime as shocking, stating, “I’ve been in law enforcement for 25 years… and I’ve worked crimes against children for 16 years, and this is a particularly gruesome crime.” She expressed deep sympathy for Mosley’s family, reflecting on the difficult situation they’re facing.
Authorities are continuing their search for additional human remains. Bradley is also facing charges for concealing the death of a person. Notably, there were previous calls to his apartment for domestic disturbances, but nothing indicated that he was capable of such severe violence. On Thursday, Bradley appeared in Cobb County Magistrate Court, where a judge denied him bond, with his next court date set for October.
