Kinzinger Appears to Regret Biden Endorsement After Disastrous Debate

Former Rep. Adam Kinzinger appears to be regretting his recent endorsement of President Joe Biden following Biden’s terrible performance in the first 2024 presidential debate.

Kinzinger issued a statement endorsing Biden on Wednesday.

But on Friday, Washington Examiners Byron York pointed out on X that Kinzinger had reposted calls for Biden to step down as his party’s presidential candidate.

Former Rep. Kinzinger endorsed Biden on Thursday morning, and on Friday morning retweeted calls for Biden to resign.

Kinzinger reposted a post by NewsBusters CEO Curtis Hack, who posted a video clip and transcript of MSNBC host Joe Scarborough suggesting Biden step down.

“I think we have to ask him the same question we’ve been asking Donald Trump since 2016, which is: If he was a CEO and he performed like this, would any company in America, any Fortune 500 company, keep him as CEO?”

Kinzinger also reposted a video clip from Jon Stewart’s show criticizing both Trump and Biden.

The former congressman then followed up with a post by David Frum, a Canadian-American political commentator and former speechwriter for President George W. Bush, slamming the Republican Party for selecting Trump as its interim nominee.

Frum also said: Atlantic Ocean During Thursday’s debate, Trump slammed the magazine as a “failed, third-rate magazine” that had published a smear campaign against Trump purportedly by anonymous sources, claiming that Trump had called soldiers who died in World War II “stupid losers.”

Trump said of the allegations, “They made that up. It was in a third-rate magazine that doesn’t sell, like a lot of other magazines. He made that up. He put it in a commercial. We put them on notice. I’ve had 19 people say I never said that. Think about it, who would say I’m in a cemetery or talking about veterans, nobody takes better care of them than I do? I’m so glad this has come up and that he’s brought it up. Nobody has taken better care of our soldiers than I do.”

Trump added:

There are 19 people who said that I never said that in front of the generals and other people, calling them idiots and losers, that’s something he made up, just like Russia, Russia, Russia was made up, just like the 51 intelligence agents were made up, just like the new thing that the 16 economists are talking about.

“Same thing. 51 agents said the laptop was Russian disinformation. It’s not. That’s what his son Hunter said. It wasn’t Russian disinformation. He made up some idiots and losers. So he should apologize to me right now.”
