Former Republican Congressman Adam Kinzinger of Illinois said he has “no fear” of President-elect Trump's second term in office.
“Can I get something straight? I'm not afraid of Trump at all. Honest to God,” the anti-Trump Republican posted. instagram thread.
“This narrative that his opponent is being intimidated is what MAGA wants to believe. No, we're reinvigorated,” he added.
Kinzinger is known for his critical comments against Trump, particularly as a member of the House committee designated to investigate the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol.
Upon his return to office, the former president threatened to use military force against those who openly opposed his decisions.
But Kinzinger said earlier in the day that he still disagrees with a “weak” President Trump.
“Just to be clear, Mr. Trump himself is weak and scared. Don't be scared, I definitely am not and neither should you,” Air Force veteran Posted. “Online flying monkeys are weak as well. We just have to prepare to pick up the pieces.”
