The Las Vegas Raiders’ new quarterback, Kirk Cousins, recently shared his thoughts on the best jerseys in professional sports, declaring the Raiders’ uniforms as the finest. Cousins, who has played with various teams over the years, emphasized his fondness for the Raiders’ look during his time with the team.

“I think it’s the best jersey in professional sports,” he remarked. He recalled a moment when his coach commented on the significance of having the best uniforms, to which Cousins agreed wholeheartedly, labeling them as “really sharp.”

His praise for the Raiders may also stem from his recent five-year contract with the franchise, reportedly valued at $172 million. This could certainly be seen as a strategic move, wanting to keep good relations with the team. Furthermore, if they opt to draft Francisco Mendoza with the first pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, Cousins is likely to take on a mentoring role.

While Cousins appreciates the Raiders’ jerseys, he acknowledged that the Atlanta Falcons’ uniforms he wore previously weren’t too shabby either. However, a recent list from GQ Magazine highlighting the top 31 sports uniforms post-2000 didn’t feature the Raiders. Instead, it pointed out the impressive black alternate jerseys of the Philadelphia Eagles and Baltimore Ravens, along with the Los Angeles Chargers’ powder blue home uniforms.

The Raiders’ iconic silver and black colors undoubtedly hold a special place in sports culture. Still, whether they truly claim the crown for the best remains open to debate.
