Charlie Kirk’s Cross Necklace Story Shared on Fox News
Andrew Corvette, the executive producer for Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, appeared on Fox News’ “Ingraham Angle” to discuss the significance of a cross necklace belonging to Kirk’s wife, Erika.
An emotional photograph of Erika Kirk circulated online, showing her holding the cross necklace while in a car. Laura Ingraham, the host, prompted Corvette to explain the backstory behind the necklace.
“This was a necklace that Erica gave to Charlie during a date, telling him, ‘You’re a Christian.’ He replied, ‘I don’t know.’ Then something shifted for him; he felt an immense weight,” Corvette recounted.
“He wore it constantly until he was assassinated, at which point those trying to save him removed it. Now, Erica has it with her,” Corvette added.
Kirk, known for addressing political beliefs at universities, recently visited Utah. Footage from the event showed him engaging with students and tossing hats to a cheering crowd.
However, about 20 minutes after his talk, gunfire erupted in the crowd, injuring Kirk. He was rushed to the hospital, where he was first reported stable but later sadly succumbed to his injuries.
On Thursday, Kirk’s body was transported to Phoenix in Air Force 2, accompanied by family, friends, Vice President J.D. Vance, and the Second Lady. A video captured Erika Kirk standing alongside the Second Lady as Vance assisted with the casket.
Erika is expected to address supporters on Friday evening, amidst vigils taking place nationwide.
