A chaotic scene unfolded outside TD Garden following the Knicks’ narrow victory over the Celtics, with a score of 91-90.
Videos shared on social media captured multiple fights breaking out as police attempted to separate the feuding fans.
One particular incident showed a Celtics supporter, donned in a Paul Pierce jersey, striking another man on the ground who was wearing a John Starks jersey.
In the end, the Knicks fan was left with a bloodied face.
A police officer was seen guiding the injured individual away from the altercation.
Another clip showed police detaining a man in a Jalen Brunson jersey.
“Back up!” was heard as an officer shouted amidst the commotion.
This melee occurred near a CVS pharmacy on Covesway Street, right beside the Celtics’ arena.
These fights erupted after arena staff alerted security, leading to some Knicks fans staying back to celebrate despite the chaos following the final buzzer.
Emotions were understandably heightened after the Knicks managed to rally back from a 20-point deficit to win Game 1 earlier in the week, 108-105.
Succeeded by the excitement, Knicks forward Mikal Bridges shone again, racking up 14 points, along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Additionally, Karl-Anthony Towns delivered a double-double performance, while Josh Hart and Jalen Brunson teamed up for a combined total of 40 points.
The Celtics, however, faced challenges offensively across both games.
Looking ahead, Game 3 is scheduled for Saturday at 3:30 PM ET at Madison Square Garden.
