Knicks capture three straight road playoff wins for first time in franchise history

Detroit – The Knicks achieved the franchise on Thursday night: three consecutive road playoffs won.

They finished the Pistons' season with a dramatic and tense 116-113 Game 6 victory at Jalen Branson with 4.3 seconds left.

It was Motor City's third victory in the series, with three wins combined by six points.

“That's a great feeling,” Josh Hart said. “Obviously, we're disappointed that we couldn't do it at home in front of the fans, but it's one of the best emotions in the sport, going to the hostile environment of the team on the other side and silence them.”

The Pistons took part in the playoffs for the first time in six years, and fans brought energy to each contest.

However, the Knicks answered the phone.

After blowing 11 points in the fourth quarter, they were able to close the game with an 11-1 run at the final 2:23, allowing them to celebrate in front of Piston and their fans.

“We've been a pretty good road team all year round, so when you're on the road, I think it's just your group,” coach Tom Thibodeau said. “Obviously we have a great fan base and many fans travel. But you just rely on each other. You need to have trust and trust in each other.”
