Miller played the role of the villain before calling Game 2. Knicks fans remember Miller scoring eight points in nine seconds in the 1995 Eastern Conference semifinals and the rivalry he had with film director Spike Lee on the Garden sideline.

Miller even dressed himself as the “boogeyman” before joining Brian Anderson and Stan Van Gundy on the TNT telecast.

“People say, ‘Aren’t you worried about coming back to New York and calling games?’ No, I owned this city, I owned this building. So why should you worry about walking there? ” he said during the broadcast.

In the end, New York defeated Indiana 2-0.
