Jalen Brunson is officially listed as questionable by the Knicks for the second consecutive game due to a left knee contusion, but is on track to return after missing Tuesday’s loss to the Hawks. It seems to be in
Brunson, who was injured early in Sunday’s game against Cleveland, participated in “most of practice” at the team’s facility in Tarrytown on Thursday, manager Tom Thibodeau said.
He added: “Let’s see where he is.” [Friday]” the All-Star point guard said when asked if he would be able to play in the Magic at the Garden, a crucial game that will determine his playoff position.
“He looked normal and felt good,” teammate Josh Hart said of Brunson. “I often start and stop practice, so it can be difficult to make decisions, [he] He looked good, confident, and didn’t seem to be limping, shuffling, or nervous in his movements. So it’s clearly positive.
“With him, if possible. [Friday] He will wake up and prepare for a gunfight — [with] It’s not too painful so I hope you’re ready for it. ”
Brunson entered Thursday tied for seventh in the NBA with 27.2 points per game, but missed one game last week due to cervical spasms.
Miles McBride has played nearly 94 of a total of 96 minutes in the past two games without Brunson.
Julius Randle (shoulder), OG Anunoby (elbow) and Mitchell Robinson (ankle) remain sidelined.
