Detroit – The Knicks were scared of a major injury.
Jalen Brunson was injured and went to the locker room in the third quarter of Knicks’ fourth quarter crash on Sunday afternoon at Little Caesars Arena.
However, he seemed to be moving well, returning to the game in the fourth quarter and earning a back-to-back layup.
After stealing the ball from him by Dennis Schroeder, Branson stayed on the ground in pain and grabbed her lower right leg.
The Knicks were then called Timeout and Come Payne joined the Branson game.
Branson missed 15 games towards the end of the regular season, his right ankle sprained, the same area he was grabbing on Sunday.
It came when the Pistons turned their game to their heads and outscored the Knicks 28-14 in the third quarter.
They also started the fourth quarter with a 11-2 run finish in the first half, turning the 16-point Knicks lead into a 7-point lead.
