Brunson, who was recently named to the All-Star team for the first time, is having an MVP-caliber season, averaging 27.3 points, 6.5 assists and 3.9 rebounds.

Hart is averaging 7.4 points, 6.9 rebounds and 3.0 assists.

The Knicks have several Villanova alumni on their roster, including Donte DiVincenzo and backup Ryan Arcidiacono.

“It’s really special when you look at where we are right now. It’s pretty cool to hear the starting lineup say, ‘From Villanova,’ ‘From Villanova,’ ‘From Villanova.’ ” Branson said last week.
