OG Anunoby Back at Practice Following Celtics Game
OG Anunoby joined Saturday’s practice session after contributing to Friday’s victory against the Celtics in the fourth quarter.
“I feel fine,” the two-way forward stated, affirming Coach Mike Brown’s comments post-game that his issue was just cramps, not the ankle injury that had sidelined him during the preseason.
In his previous performance, Anunoby led the team with 24 points against the Cavaliers, adding 10 points in 29 minutes during the game that followed.
“That’s what a good team looks like,” Anunoby mentioned after practice. “You can’t win by yourself. We have a talented roster, so depending on the game dynamics and our defensive play, it could turn out to be a productive night for everyone.”
“We’re 2-0 and I believe we’ll only improve as the season progresses. That’s our primary focus—keeping the momentum going. It’s important to remember, everyone in the NBA has talent. We have a lot of capable players on our team, and when our names are called, we just need to be ready to help secure wins.”
Coach Brown also noted that Josh Hart made his season debut on Friday, overcoming weeks of absence due to back spasms and looked physically fit.
Brown called Hart a “monster” for his performance, which included 14 rebounds—six of which were offensive—during his 19 minutes on the court.
Brown expressed his admiration, stating, “Monster game, monster game. His effort was fantastic, especially on the boards. When you consider KAT, we collectively pulled down 15 offensive rebounds between the three of us.” The mention of Towns and Guerschon Yabusele highlighted Hart’s significant impact in the game.
Absent from the Heat game was often-injured center Mitchell Robinson (ankle), with Brown mentioning he’s still managing his workload. Meanwhile, Towns (quad) and Miles McBride (personal reasons) are questionable for upcoming games, but Hart is expected to play.
