Knicks Celebrate Before Coaching Change

The Knicks seemed to be in high spirits on Monday night, just hours before the unexpected firing of head coach Tom Thibodeau. They were spotted enjoying a party at Chelsea’s Fleur Room with players like Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, Josh Hart, Mikal Bridges, and others.

These images, shared by the Post, captured the Knicks letting loose a few blocks from Madison Square Garden, following a disappointing end to their Eastern Conference Finals run. They lost to the Pacers in a decisive 125-108 game just a couple of days prior.

Everyone appeared to be having a good time, with multiple photos showing players posing happily together—Brunson and Towns stood side by side, while Hart could be seen beaming in another shot.

In one memorable photo, PJ Tucker held a microphone in one hand while cheerfully raising a bottle with the other. And there was another shot of Bridges, Tucker, and Hart sharing a laugh, which definitely captured the moment.

Eddie Nketiah, a striker from Crystal Palace, also made an appearance, chatting with Bridges, Knicks legend Latrell Sprewell, Hart, and rapper Busta Rhymes, adding to the celebratory atmosphere.

However, things took a sharp turn the next day when the Knicks announced Thibodeau’s termination. It seems unlikely that the players or their celebrity guests anticipated this sudden shift. Towns, in response to the news, posted a poignant image of himself with Thibodeau on his Instagram story, hinting at his surprise.

Hart also reacted quickly on social media, expressing gratitude with a simple yet heartfelt message: “Thank you for eternity. Thank you!”

Knicks President Leon Rose summed up their difficult decision, stating, “In the end, we made a decision that we think is best for the organization to move forward.”
