The Knicks do not have an opponent yet, but a first-round series is scheduled.
The No. 2 seed in the East opens the playoffs Saturday at MSG against either the Heat or the Sixers at 6 p.m. MSG is a prime-time showdown on ESPN, but not in the popular TV slot where Lakers vs. Nuggets airs on ABC at 8:30 p.m.
Game 2 for the Knicks will take place on the first night of Passover, Monday at 7:30pm on TNT.

Game 3 will be played on the road on Thursday, April 25th at 7:30 p.m. With TNT.
Game 4 will be broadcast on ABC on Sunday, April 28th at 1:00 p.m.
The times for Game 5 (April 30th MSG), Game 6 (May 2nd Road), and Game 7 (May 4th MSG) have not been determined.
The Knicks have been practicing at their Tarrytown training facility this week and will face the winner of Wednesday night’s game between the No. 8 Heat and No. 7 Sixers.
They will interest the viewer.
“Everybody’s going to be watching themselves and seeing how they break it down the next day, so we’re going to watch it together in practice,” Tom Thibodeau said.

When asked if he had a favorite opponent, the coach didn’t comment.
“Both teams are great teams at this time of year,” Thibodeau said. “When you look at that, people say, ‘What about this team, what about that team?'” Every team has different problems at this point.
“So, we have to be ready. I know it seems like a cliche, but that’s why we start the season. This is what we need in the end.
“If you develop that habit throughout the year, you come here and you don’t adapt. This isn’t the first time we’ve done this. What are their strengths and weaknesses, what are they doing well now?” I think understanding what we’re doing and what we have to do is a big part of winning.”
