Knicks stay cautious of Celtics challenge as they approach ending 25-year struggle.

Knicks on the Brink of Conference Finals

Boston – It’s been quite a wait. The moment is finally within reach.

The Knicks need just one more win to secure their first spot in the conference finals since the 1999-2000 season. A single victory stands between them and a significant achievement under coach Tom Thibodeau, as well as a victory against the current champions.

To put things in perspective, the first iPhone was still over seven years away when the Knicks last made it to the Eastern Conference Finals. Back then, Faith Hill’s “Breath” topped the charts, and “American Beauty” claimed the Oscar for Best Picture. Jalen Brunson was just a few months shy of turning four years old, and at that time, his father, Rick, was actually playing for the Knicks.

Following the Celtics’ 413 Game 4 loss on Monday night at Madison Square Garden, the Knicks head back to Boston with a favorable 3-1 lead in the series. They secured the first two games at TD Garden, and now the Celtics will have to face this challenge without Jason Tatum, who suffered a torn right Achilles tendon during Game 4, with over three minutes left on the clock.
