The popular Korean actress, forced to hide after a drunken driving collision, was found dead at her home on Sunday.
Kim Saelong, 24, was discovered in Song Goo in Seoul by a friend who had plans to meet her. Yonhap News Agency reported.
The star, who made her acting debut at the age of nine, has made fame following her roles in the 2010 action film The Man From Nowhere and the 2012 thriller The Neighbor.
However, he took a step back from acting after getting drunk in May 2022 and crashing his car into an electric transformer box on the roadside. The South China Morning Post reported.
The crash caused public humiliation that drove her into the spotlight.
She tried to return to acting last year, but according to Yonghap, she later dropped out of health issues.
Kim's body was found around 4:50pm local time. The Korean Herald reported.
“We haven't found any signs of foul play yet, but we're investigating the circumstances of the death,” police told the outlet.
Following the drunken driving collision, Kim was fined 20 million won ($13,850) and stopped acquiring the role.
At the time, she resigned from her role in the drama series “Trolley,” according to the South China Morning Post.

Kim's latest release appeared in the Netflix action series “Bloodhounds” in 2023.
She has also won numerous awards throughout her career and was recognized as “the best new actress” at several Korean Art Awards ceremonies. According to her IMDB page.
Police are still investigating the cause of her death.
