Jets Player Kris Boyd Shot in New York, Under Investigation

Kris Boyd, a player for the New York Jets, is reportedly able to breathe on his own following a shooting incident that occurred early in the morning in midtown Manhattan. This information was shared through a post on his social media account.

An update from Boyd’s Instagram Story expressed his gratitude, stating, “God is real. God is powerful. I’m starting to breathe on my own now and moving on. Thank you all so much for your support.”

Following the incident, Jets head coach Aaron Glenn mentioned that Boyd seems to be in good spirits. “That comforts me, that he’s fine,” Glenn told reporters ahead of an upcoming game against the Baltimore Ravens. He added that Boyd’s family is doing well and that they hope for a complete recovery.

Currently, Boyd is in serious but stable condition, with no definitive timeline for his release from the hospital. Glenn indicated that their recent conversation left him feeling reassured about Boyd’s attitude and outlook.

The New York Police Department has released a photo of a suspect linked to the shooting, describing the individual as a male with a medium complexion, last seen wearing a black hat, black sweatshirt, black pants, multi-colored sneakers, and carrying a black backpack.

Glenn shared his thoughts on Boyd, noting the recent birth of Boyd’s child and expressing concern for his family during this difficult time. “It’s a process, and I won’t go into that, but I’m happy he’s going to be okay,” he concluded.

Boyd, who joined the Jets during the offseason, has been on the disabled reserve list due to a previous injury sustained during training camp.
