“Honestly, I’d just cut it,” he told reporters after the round. “I thought a number like this would be enough, but I’m very happy that we achieved it.”

Kim made six birdies at TPC Craig Ranch, including one on the 18th hole, becoming the youngest player to qualify for a tour event since Kyle Sappa in 2015.
“I feel pretty good,” he said of his accomplishment. “I feel like I’ve played well the last two days. I’ve been pretty patient and I think it paid off.”

At 16 years and 7 months old, Kim became the youngest player to qualify for Nelson, surpassing 13-time PGA Tour winner Jordan Spieth.
Kim is currently in 24th place after 13 holes in Saturday’s third round.

With two rounds left, Kim said her only goal is to “go as low as possible” and have fun doing it.
“I’ve had a lot of fun the last few days, but it’s going to be even more fun when I’m here for two more days.”
