Former Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem is set to divorce her husband, Bryon, who has made headlines for his cross-dressing, as revealed by her mother, Colin Arnold.
“It was tough for us, but we were prepared for this outcome,” Arnold mentioned, adding that the last sighting of Kristi and Bryon together was at a family birthday celebration after the scandal broke.
“It was a big gathering with everyone—Kristi, Bryon, the kids, and grandkids,” she recalled. “Bryon was hugging the kids, just like the old him. He was really sweet. I told him I loved him, and he responded in kind.”
At that point, the couple had already split, leading Arnold to question her daughter, “What’s going on? Are you two reconciling?”
Arnold recounted Kristi’s reply: “No, we’re getting a divorce.”
As previously reported, Bryon Noem has drawn significant criticism for his actions, with many labeling him as a disastrous political spouse. His secretive lifestyle has put his entire family at risk for disgrace and fragmentation. It seems that was precisely what unfolded.
Reports indicate that Bryon had been interacting with online sex workers for a while, including dressing up and engaging with them, while also being disrespectful towards his wife and family.
