I wasn’t trying to copy Kristi Noem. She clearly struggled in her role, particularly with ICE and FEMA, and seemed a bit too focused on promoting herself—whether it was during a prison visit in El Salvador or while riding at Mount Rushmore. Eventually, President Trump decided to fire her as Secretary of Homeland Security. Maybe he should have acted sooner, but, well, that’s history now.
However, there’s more to discuss.
More than 300 Angel Family members join Markwayne Marin’s Democratic nomination race on clear terms
This might sound like gossip, but it involves a former official and raises serious concerns about potential blackmail. Moreover, it follows some romantic rumors that she has denied.
The Daily Mail has gathered what it calls a “secret life” of her husband, Bryon Noem. They report some sensational claims.
There are photos of Bryon Noem in, let’s say, interesting outfits—pink hot pants and exaggerated fake breasts. It’s quite the sight. The Mail’s reporters spoke to several “fetish” models who said they interacted with him online, discussing how women fantasized about being life-sized “Barbie dolls” with, well, exaggerated features. They termed it “bimboization.”
The article claims that Noem allegedly compensated these women quite generously for their services, sometimes making rather lewd requests. I won’t get into the explicit details, as they might be a bit unsettling.
A representative for Kristi stated, as reported by a certain outlet: “Noem is devastated. Her family has been blindsided by this news and is asking for privacy and prayers at this time.”
Trump himself mentioned to the Daily Mail that he was taken aback by the family’s acknowledgment of these shocking reports about Noem’s husband’s online conduct.
“Did they confirm that? Wow, if that’s true, I feel really sorry for the family,” he said during a phone call.
What’s significant here is that, according to reports, Noem didn’t make much effort to conceal her husband’s activities, even sharing his phone number with these women and leaving voicemails identifying his job.
The crux of the matter—and why this has become news—is the potential for Noem to have been blackmailed.
Noem thanks President Trump for new role as special envoy to the Americas after DHS ouster
A former CIA official remarked to the newspaper, “If news organizations are aware of this, we can be quite sure that hostile intelligence agencies are aware too.”
“It seems like the Republican Party might have more scandals than the Democrats at this point,” commented Glenn Beck, editor of The Blades. “And we were aware of this long before she got appointed. It was a strange choice.”
Alright, I think that’s enough of that.
Now let’s talk about the new head of DHS, former Senator Markwayne Mullin.
According to a major news outlet, “Mr. Marin has been focusing on a low-key approach, briefing Congress on the effects of the government shutdown and making a video where he expresses his appreciation for the DHS employees.” In this video, he stated, “I truly believe we have the best employees at DHS, ever.”
Yet, he has to deal with a mass deportation plan that doesn’t seem to have public support, especially following the recent violent incidents that impacted two Americans in Minneapolis. He mostly aligns with Trump’s stringent viewpoints on immigration.
Fired DHS Secretary Kristi Noem faces criminal charges from Congressional Democrats
“My goal in six months is that we’re not in the news every day. I want people to understand that we’re here to protect them and collaborate with them,” Mullin shared during his confirmation hearing.
This will be quite the balancing act, particularly since there’s much disagreement between the parties on resolving the ongoing government shutdown, especially with an executive order currently freezing DHS funding—except for TSA employees.
It’s obvious that the era of Kristi Noem has ended, and now we have a new leader who seems to prefer to keep a low profile instead of seeking the spotlight.
footnote: Jimmy Kimmel is facing backlash for making derogatory remarks about Markwayne Marin.
“To clarify, I’m not upset that the Secretary of Homeland Security was once a plumber. I’m upset that he isn’t still one,” Kimmel joked. “That’s right. We now have plumbers protecting us from terrorists. It worked for Super Mario. Why can’t it work for Markwayne?”
This comment drew significant criticism for being disrespectful to those in the working class.
A spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security responded to Kimmel’s remarks, stating: “Secretary Mullin represents the best of blue-collar America, and struggling comedian Jimmy Kimmel chooses to mock him for that.”
Furthermore, Mullin took charge of a financially troubled family business and turned it into a major regional player in diverse sectors, including real estate and environmental services.
Despite the backlash, Kimmel stood his ground: “I wouldn’t put a plumber in charge of the DHS for the same reason I wouldn’t call a five-star general to handle a rat problem. We all have our areas of expertise.”
Seems like he’s having a tough time understanding that.
