Kristin Cavallari has opened up about the end of her relationship with Montana Boys star Mark Estes.
The former “Laguna Beach” reality star admitted that she was the one who made the difficult decision to end their romance after seven months of dating.
Cavallari, 37, said there was no ill will between them and cited the 13-year age difference as one of the reasons for her breakup with the 24-year-old TikTok content creator.

“Mark and I broke up,” Cavallari said on the “Let's Be Honest” podcast. “It's hard breaking up with Mark because I just know it's not right in the long run, not because I lost love or anything bad happened.”
The former couple announced their relationship on Instagram in February.

Despite their short-lived romance, Cavallari admitted that Estes was the “best boyfriend” she had ever had. She said that “no one cheated on her” during their relationship and that Estes was always “very sweet and very supportive,” which made her decision even more difficult.

“I know he needs to experience life in the long run. He's still young,” she said. “As I went through life experiences, I started to feel older little by little.

“I look back at when I was 24 and think about how much has happened in my life up to that point. Those are important years. Those are formative years. It's when you find yourself. And he needs to be able to do that.”
“I know that in the long run he needs to experience life. He's still young. He's gotten some life experience and he's starting to feel a little bit older.”
Cavallari said her romance with Estes was “the best relationship of my life” and that she “never ignored the fact that he was younger.”

“He's going to make someone very happy one day…and he's going to have a beautiful family of his own,” she said. “I know that someday he'll look back and realize that, and I actually think that someday he'll look back and thank me.”

Although some fans thought their relationship was controversial due to their age difference and Cavallari being the mother of three children, Kristin doesn't regret her decision to date Estes. .
“I don't regret going public with him. I don't regret introducing him to my children,” she said. “I don't regret anything. It was a very good and happy relationship. And I think in every relationship you learn and grow from it, and I have very fond memories and pure memories of Mark and I.” I will look back on it forever with great happiness.''
