Kristin Juszczyk made headlines earlier this year for creating custom game-day outfits for Taylor Swift and other stars.
She now models for the face of women’s sports, Caitlin Clark.
In Sunday’s game against Ohio State, Clark set a new record for most points by a male or female in NCAA history.
She also surpassed Taylor Pierce’s 155th single-season 3-pointer in Iowa’s 108-60 win over Minnesota on Wednesday.
In an interview with PEOPLEJuszczyk told the story of how he partnered with State Farm, where Clark was contracted as a spokesperson, to create the down vest that wowed the 22-year-old security guard on Sunday’s Senior Day.
“She’s the first college athlete, male or female, they’ve ever signed, and it’s so great that they’re uplifting women in sports,” Juszczyk said. “So when they came to me with this opportunity, of course I didn’t even blink. It was really incredible that she filled these arenas and broke all these records. I wanted to create a special piece that would show how much her fans love her, how much Iowa loves her, and what a trailblazer she is. Women, And I think there’s never been a better time to celebrate women in sports.”
For the vest, Juszczyk used both Clark’s black and white jerseys.
Also written on the jacket were the words “NCAA women’s leading scorer” and “Iowa state’s all-time leader in points, assists, 3:00 p.m., and FGM.”
The vest features the State Farm logo and a red zipper that pays homage to the insurance company.
The product was also worn by Jake Fromm State Farm, who has appeared in many of the company’s ads, including one with Clark himself.
Juszczyk has been making her own 49ers gear for years to wear to her husband Kyle Juszczyk’s games, and she launched her own brand during the 2023 NFL season. Design by Kristin.
Swift’s brand signed a licensing deal with the NFL after she wore a custom vest at a game that is credited with launching her career. Juszczyk has also created custom costumes for Simone Biles, Brittany Mahomes, and now Clark.
