Kurt Russell also got in on the act.

Russell, 72, was watching the NBA Finals at a friend's house the night of the infamous 1994 police chase with O.J. Simpson in a white Bronco.
“In the last 25 years, we've never had anything like that happen,” said now-retired Orange County Sheriff's Sgt. Jim Sewell told the Post in 2019.
“It was a one-off thing that turned into a circus…While it was happening, I didn't know it was going to be broadcast nationally,” he said.
“I didn't know they suspended Game 5 of the NBA playoffs.”
Their friend happened to live near the player.
“It was a big chase. And Kurt…O.J. was in the 405. [freeway] And suddenly Kurt was like, 'Oh, he's going home,'” Kate revealed.
Kate and Oliver's mother, Goldie Hawn, had a son with singer Bill Hudson, but Hawn, 78, had a long-term relationship with Russell starting in 1983 and raised Kate and Oliver. Russell and Horne are also parents to son Wyatt Russell, 37.
“Then he got in his car and left and went to OJ's house,” Kate said.
“I don't know why! Just to see what happened, right? And we all say, 'Where are we going?' He's like, “I'll be right back.” Then he goes with his friends. ”
She said the NBA Finals were interrupted by the news that night. “And we saw our father on TV behind the caution tape!”
Simpson was acquitted of murdering ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman in 1995 (and published a book, If I Did It, in 2007). The trial was fictionalized in the 2016 anthology series American Crime Story: The People v. O. J. Simpson, in which Simpson was played by Cuba Gooding Jr.
“He always somehow passes by murderers. Like a serial killer,” Oliver said of Kurt. He supported Kate's story.
“When O.J. Simpson drove into his house, he was on camera. He was in the driveway. I could see him on KTLA, and I was like, 'What?' was. my father. I was like, “What is he doing there?”
The brothers said Russell once “beat up” one of Charles Manson's followers and once crossed paths with serial killer Ted Bundy, who fled from the Pitkin County Courthouse in 1977.
“This is a crazy story. Kurt was camping, he had food on his plate, he went to get a beer or something, and when he came back there was no food on his plate. ” said Oliver.
“Ted Bundy was later captured and told how he survived after escaping. He said he found a man camping with friends in the woods and he left to grab some food. talked.”
Kate said, “I might not believe either story,” but added, “I'm interested in that. They're interesting.”
