Former NFL player Le'Veon Bell has been in such a slump that even Kyrie Irving's impressive scoring record couldn't be counted on to win.
Bell went into the game knowing that his bad betting luck could put a damper on Irving's five-game streak, where he averaged 37.4 points, 6.4 rebounds and 6.4 assists.
“You can bet now and end all of this.” Bell wrote on Tuesday.suggesting he can do things on his own that NBA teams can't do and keep the Mavericks' star cool.
Bell's kiss of death predictably paid off Wednesday when the Mavericks took on the Lakers.
Irving had an impressive performance Wednesday, posting 12 points on 4-of-16 shooting, six assists, and five rebounds in 32 minutes.
This was Irving's lowest point total in a game this season in which he played at least 14 minutes.

The Mavericks' star point guard had a total of 27.5 over/under points at FanDuel Sportsbook, but fell short of clearing.
On Wednesday, the Lakers defeated the Mavericks in dominant fashion, 127-110.
Irving has been toying with the idea of teaming up with the Lakers for the past year. Confirmed by ESPN report Irving said he attended several of the Lakers' home playoff games last season in hopes of playing with James again.
