Lakers hold moment of silence for Warriors coach Dejan Milojević

The NBA world continues to mourn the untimely passing of Warriors assistant coach Dejan Milojevic, and the Lakers held a moment of silence in his memory on Wednesday night.

Milojevic died on Wednesday after suffering a heart attack the day before.

He was 46 years old.

Before the Lakers faced the Mavericks in Los Angeles on Wednesday, the team took a moment to honor their late coach.

Lakers public relations announcer Lawrence Tanter said Wednesday night, “Along with the NBA family, the world of basketball around the world mourns the sudden passing of Golden State Warriors assistant coach Dejan Milojevic at the age of 46.''

“He played 14 seasons professionally throughout Europe and was also a member of the Serbian and Montenegro national teams before moving to the United States as a coach. Starting with a stint as an assistant with the Serbian national team, he played for the Hawks, Spurs and Rockets. organization, and became an integral part of the Warriors' coaching staff starting in 2021.”
